In December 2019 I travelled to Madrid to attend the Sustainable Innovation Summit, an official side event at the COP 26 UN Climate Change Conference. As delegates arrived through the thick early morning fog in Madrid, nothing much at all seemed to be clearing. But somehow, Madrid and the Spanish Government pulled it off.
