Skiddle Update: Christmas and New Years Eve 2022, improvements to the Skiddle Reps system, brand new entries on the Promotion Centre blog & more

Freshers Week, Oktoberfest, Halloween, Bonfire Night and the 2022 Qatar World Cup… To say this Autumn looks eventful would be quite an understatement.

As far as opportunities to capitalise go, this season could very well prove to be the most fruitful we’ve had since the end of Covid restrictions were announced earlier in the year. And whilst you might be preoccupied with details concerning the imminent spooktacular’s, explosive night-sky displays and international sporting tournaments, it might be time to consider giving some thought to the rapidly-approaching festive period.

Christmas and New Year’s Eve are the latest buzzwords here at Skiddle. Over the past week alone, we’ve observed promoters from across the nation preparing for the launch of their end-of-year parties and events, and the traction already being gained from these listings is pretty astonishing, to say the least.

Our advice, should you be thinking about arranging a wholesome Christmas occasion or an all-out New Year’s bash, would be to get your events listed sooner than you usually would on any other given year. Make use of consumers’ piqued interest in festive functions and reap the benefits later down the line.

In other news

Our in-house development team has made some new improvements to our existing event repping system on the Skiddle app. For those who’ve never heard of Skiddle Reps, here’s a little explanation of how it works…

Skiddle Reps allows your fan base to become an ambassador of the events you organise. When this feature is applied, your audience is given the option to share tracking links to your listings with their friends and family, via Facebook, Twitter or messaging apps such as Messenger and WhatsApp. If said tracking links are used to purchase tickets to your events, the rep earns a commission on each ticket sold, either in the form of cash rewards or prizes set by you.

Previously, fans could only represent events on a one-by-one basis, but now that’s all changed… The latest update offers your audience the added ability to represent your brand as well as your listings. What does that mean? It means a representative can share tracking links advertising your entire programme of events instead of just one, ultimately driving further sales with commission still being attributed back to the rep for each sale.

Log into Skiddle’s Promotion Centre and head to ‘Promotion’ > ‘Manage Reps’ to learn how to fix commissions, invite reps and more. Check out the ‘Help’ section in the left-hand navigation bar for additional information and knowledge-base articles on how to get the best out of Skiddle Reps.

Before you go…

We’ve got some brand new entries over on the Skiddle Promotion Centre Blog for you to browse through, with the aim of each being to help you get the best out of our many unique features and to see that your events are a resounding success.
