Welcome to Skiddle’s Promoter Update. This week, we’ll be taking a look at some new features in the Beta Promotion Centre, talking about Bonfire Night, shining a light on some of the great work carried out by the Skiddle staff and the hard work carried out by our Business Development team.

Improvements to our Reps system

Skiddle’s development team are always hard at work making changes to our Promotion Centre. 

Reps have always been a very popular feature, allowing you to incentivise a team of reps with either cash or “money can’t buy” rewards.

We’re rolling out lots of new and improved features in this area, based on your ideas and suggestions. Please get in touch if you’d like to get early access and provide feedback to our team.

Optimise your Bonfire Night listings

Bonfire Night awaits us this Saturday, which means this is your reminder to optimise any listings you have for an event on the night or across the weekend. Remember, customers are more likely to buy tickets for events with clear and detailed information, so an optimised listing could help you attract some last-minute customers looking for an event to attend.  

We’re already receiving a huge amount of traffic for bonfire night listings, so ensure your event is listed now!

New accounts on Skiddle this month

Our Business Development team have been hard at work. This month, they’ve secured several well-loved venues and exciting promoters as Skiddle clients. November sees Electrowerkz, The Limelight Orchestra and Balter Festival join the company, among other exciting names.

Black Friday & Cyber Monday

Black Friday and Cyber Monday will happen on the 25th & 28th of November respectively. These events see discounted deals on consumer products, and here at Skiddle, it’s no different. 

We’ll be pushing out Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals via our Inspire Me pages. They’ll direct customers to events with discounted tickets, while our customer blog will round up feature articles rounding up discounted events.  We’ll have a dedicated area in the Skiddle app, giving you easy access to the offers available. 

Between now and those events, we’ll be pushing information on deals to our customer base of over two million visitors per month. Consider offering some Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals on your tickets to capitalise on the traffic.

Before you go…

As part of our ‘Skiddle Discovers’ series, some of the Skiddle team attended Art Battle, filming their latest event in Stockport. 

Our account support team have looked after Art Battle for a while now, and it’s an event which offers something with a different flavour to the other accounts we host. 

Skiddle’s Rory caught up with Art Battle’s host Hattie Pearson and artist Cookie Love to get an insight into the event. Rory also interviewed TV presenter Nihal Arthanayake and actor Adam Thomas, two of four celebrities who took part in the event.

Skiddle’s Account Support Manager, Jonny, attended Scare Kingdom back in May alongside Digital Content Manager Liam. 

Jonny spoke to Scare Kingdom’s professional scare actors, who put him on a course at Scare School, where he learnt the psychology of fear and received a horror film makeover to get him ready to scare some guests.  

Some of our team attended Scare Kingdom as guests, but unbeknownst to them, Jonny would be on the other side, ready to give them a fright.
