Black Friday & Cyber Monday

We spoke about the launch of our Black Friday ‘Inspire Me’ pages in last week’s update. Located on the Skiddle homepage, these pages compile events happening across the U.K and Europe by genre and event type. Providing customers a place to discover fantastic events, our Inspire Me pages offer the opportunity for your events to be seen by our monthly customer base of four million people.

New on the blog this week is a tutorial explaining how to add discounts to your Black Friday & Cyber Monday events. The two holidays are fast approaching, and this article will give you all the information you need to offer fantastic ticket deals to your events. Click here to read the piece.

The 2022 Qatar World Cup

This weekend sees the beginning of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, with host nation Qatar kicking off the tournament in a game against Ecuador. This week we’ve seen a large increase in search traffic for all World Cup screening games with a lot of events selling out already. 

England and Wales – the only home nations in the tournament – kick off their campaigns against Iran and United States. The two home nation teams will meet on 29th November, and promoters across the country have already begun to list their events for the occasion. 

We’ve got numerous ‘Inspire Me’ pages across the Skiddle website that compile screening events for England and Wales games. End Clothing x Adidas Originals exhibition

Menswear brand End Clothing is teaming up with iconic sportswear brand Adidas to present a new footwear exhibition titled ‘Spezial F.C’ alongside some very intimate gigs. The exhibition and gigs will take place from Friday 18th to Sunday 27th of November in Circle Square and Skiddle powered the tickets. 

Customers had to sign up to be in with a chance of getting the free tickets first and thousands of people did. Tickets sold out in minutes and using our twenty-plus years of experience, the on-sale went very smoothly. 

The exhibition will feature archival shoes, celebrating the link between football culture and fashion. There will be timeless shoes, match-worn football boots and collaborations between End and Adidas on show across the week, while an extensive Spezial archive will complete the exhibition. Here, unreleased samples, working prototypes and vintage archival styles will be on display for the connoisseurs.

To complement the exhibition, End, Adidas and Canvas in Circle Square will host a program of events, which includes a headline show from the Happy Mondays, performances from Confidence Man and homegrown Manchester talent such as Liam Fray of The Courteeners and rapper DRS.
