Our second Industry Drop-in event is now just over 2 weeks away. The initiative, devised to offer a space where those operating within the events industry can come together to share knowledge, build new connections and learn more about Skiddle’s services, will land in Glasgow on Thursday the 16th of November, taking over one of the city’s most unique event spaces, Barras Art and Design (BAaD).

Building on the anticipation for the event, we can now reveal the full lineup of special guests set to make an appearance on the day, in addition to the topics of our roundtable discussions, our live panel and more. Expect appearances from a host of famous faces and figureheads of the UK music industry, with plenty of opportunity to engage.

Among some of the confirmed guests are the likes of world-renowned DJ and event promoter, Frazi.er, Ali Coban of AC Live Promotions, CEO of the Night Time Industries Association (NTIA), Michael Kill, DJ and PRTY Events co-founder, Jezza, Director of Events at COLOURS, Julie McEwan, and Daria Jaszcz, Marketing Executive at the Scottish Music Industries Association (SMIA), all of whom have agreed to make themselves available for one-on-one meetings across the early part of the day.

Roundtable discussions will follow after a short lunch break. Attendees will be invited to debate topics fundamental to the Scottish music scene, including changing consumer buying trends and the effect on Glasgow’s music scene, post-Brexit touring complications, and sustainability and safeguarding issues, with those conducting one-on-one meetings.

The topics of each roundtable discussion can be found below. All 3 round tables will run at the same time. Please only book a ticket for 1 table.

Table 1 – Adapting to shifting consumer buying trends

Table 2 – Navigating post-Brexit touring challenges

Table 3 – Promoters and Venues as Catalysts for Change

Tickets for the roundtables can be acquired HERE. Please only book onto one table – one ticket per roundtable, per guest.

Leading into the evening, the live panel will welcome another long list of special guests including Mike Grieve, Managing Director at SubClub, Tom Ketley, Founder of Fly Events, and Jenn Nimmo Smith, Director and Founder of Electric Shores Publicity, as well as Artist Manager & Music Management Consultant, Aaarti Joshi, and serving member of Scottish Parliament, Pauline McNeill MSP. Panellists will discuss the accessibility challenges in Glasgow and their subsequent impact on the city’s music economy.

Running concurrently with one-on-one meetings, the roundtables and live panel, attendees will also find a feature demonstration stall led by Skiddle’s expert Customer and Account Support teams. Here, attendees can inquire about the list of free tools and services that Skiddle offers whilst learning more about how said features can be utilised to increase awareness and boost revenue.

Rounding off what is set to be a thought-provoking and truly inspiring day of networking and meaningful conversation, our Skiddle Social event will afford all those present the time to relax and engage with their fellow attendees over a selection of purchasable refreshments.

Entry to the Skiddle Industry Drop-in is completely FREE. Obtain your tickets HERE.

Please note: Individual tickets must be acquired for each part of the day that you wish to attend. If you would like to attend a round table, the panel and networking sessions, please add all 3 tickets to your order. All 3 round tables will be going ahead at the same time so please only book a ticket for 1 table.
