Last week we held our Unique Venues Annual Member Conference in Portland, Oregon, a city that is unique in and of itself. We spent two days learning and networking in addition to recognizing and appreciating our membership. Our Unique Venues family considers it a privilege to be with our members and gain valuable feedback about our niche in the hospitality industry. I personally learned a range of information from our knowledgeable speakers including how to market using storytelling, best social media practices, the future of technology and how it impacts the event industry, and how to network on a more personal level while building relationships among my peers. While I left Portland feeling well-informed, I also left feeling more inspired than ever. As the new Director of Marketing for Unique Venues, I get to harness my creativity and come up with new ways to market not only our company, but also YOUR venue to planners, too.
