Welcome back to the Skiddle Update!

If you’re new to receiving our regular newsletter, firstly, welcome. Every Thursday, we’ll strive to bring you a short and snappy rundown of all the exciting things happening behind the scenes at Skiddle HQ.

We’ll offer tips and advice on getting the best out of your events through interviews with industry experts, carefully researched blogs, downloadable resources and more.

This week, we’re looking at our Festival Guide and how it can help your event. We’ll also recap our reps feature, let you know our weekend opening times and how you can boost your audience engagement.

The Skiddle Festival Guide

Creating life-long experiences and moments through events is something all promoters strive to achieve. You wouldn’t be in the events game if you thought any different. That rush when the headline act delivers a knockout set to a sold-out crowd? Priceless.

However, what isn’t priceless is having to battle against content management systems to get your lineups and other vital information regarding your event looking clear and presentable without shedding a few quid to get a professional involved. It adds stress and puts strain on your team when they could be using their company knowledge and patience elsewhere.

Sound familiar? Have you ever thought about using our festival guide?

All you need to do is send us some crucial information, sit back and watch as that info is transformed into a sharp-looking landing page. We compile the guide ourselves meaning your workload gets lighter, leaving you to focus on more pressing matters.

What’s more, you can also direct your customer queries to your unique festival guide page. Got hundreds of customers with bizarre questions? The FAQ section should go some way in dealing with their concerns. Be sure to send us a list of your customers’ most frequently asked questions and we’ll add them to your page.

Reps recap

We spoke about our Reps feature earlier in the month. Festival season is about to hit full swing, so we thought we’d give you a short recap.

Reps allows people outside of your team to sell tickets for your event. That regular customer who hasn’t missed a night? They could become an ambassador of your brand, selling tickets and spreading the word about your events to their friends and family. In return, your reps can receive money, prizes or VIP access to your shows, depending on what you choose to offer.

The reps feature is yet another tool built to assist in increasing sales and awareness of your events. If you’re operating in a big city with lots of students, they’ll likely have loads of mates. And let’s not beat around the bush here: students love to party

Think of it as entering a new market. You’re spreading the word of your brand to people you might have never reached before, building your existing fan base whilst bumping up those all important sales.

Weekend opening times and Bank Holiday remittance

The bank holidays just keep on piling up. May in particular boasts 3 public holidays and we’ve planned ahead to make sure you’ve got the assistance you need to ensure your late springtime parties and events run as smoothly as humanly possible.

Adding an extra day to their usual working schedule, the Account Support team will be on hand to deal with your queries via email and phone on Saturday 29th April. Check the graphics below for those opening times in detail and to see when remittances will be sent over the holiday period.

Boost audience engagement with these 5 tools

Audience engagement is a crucial part of promotion. When you organise an event, your aim is to catch the attention of your audience, converting potential customers into attendees. Likewise, you want to retain that focus through the content of said event. For example, via a lineup of performers.

An engaged customer makes for a happier and more profitable attendee. It also helps in building conversions for subsequent events, with word of mouth still playing a huge role in the growth of brands and events in 2023.

“The best advertising is done by satisfied customers.” ― Kotler, Philip
