Why the Rebrand? Letter from the owner, Kaitlyn Dineen

Austin DMC

2022 was a year of growing into our own. With a full year as an owner under my belt - our small but mighty team was pushed to the limit growing at a rate we could never have expected. We executed some of the largest events the city has ever seen, added three new companies to our portfolio expanding our offerings, and opened a Montana office for Fifth Street DMC.

While our previous name, K.DMC Austin (formerly Kennedy Creative DMC), was one we loved and felt right in the moment, it certainly led to confusion- like who is K? (no- not me), or is the company called "K?" (also no). It was clear over time the name was not demonstrative of who we are or who we want to grow to become.

We don't want to be a DMC that is not an active part of the community. Our destinations are by design. Our team is local and the success of our vendors and the creative community is a core value. We don't want clients that are in the market for ordinary. We thrive when we are working with people that are passionate, in places that inspire us, and when pushed to design an experience, not an event.

This brand we feel resembles us- the clients we are proud to work with, the partners that have continued to support our growth, and the future we plan to achieve.

After lessons learned and a year of change, we have grown into our own and have carved our path in the industry - on Fifth Street and in our community. We have a legacy of doing legendary things, and look forward to doing all that in the new year.

Thank you for your support of me, us, and Fifth Street in our next chapter. This is just the beginning.

— Kaitlyn Dineen, President and Owner
