Released last week (23 rd May 2023), the latest edition of the annual report tallies the number and location of international in-person association meetings held across the globe in 2022. Glasgow ranks 27 th in the world for number of international association meetings held (54) and Edinburgh ranks 30 th with 52.

–based Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) held its annual European conference. This was the first CASE Europe conference held outside of the United Kingdom, where most of CASE’s European members are based. And conferences may be our best hope for creating change. Trust is down everywhere.

In 2015, respondents held an average of approximately 14 committee meetings, 10 training sessions, 9 seminars, 7 board meetings, and 5 other types of meetings. Sixty-eight percent of respondents (compared to 62 percent in the 2015 survey) report that they are booking their small meetings more than six months out.
