Visit KC Welcomes Kathryn Taylor as D.C.-based Sales Manager
8/3/2022
KANSAS CITY, MO – Visit KC, the region’s leading hospitality and tourism authority, is pleased to announce the recent addition of Kathryn “Kat” Taylor as national account manager within the organization’s convention sales team. Taylor, who brings more than 13 years of experience in the hospitality and sales fields, will be based in the Washington, D.C. market. Her first day was Aug. 1.

Kathryn Taylor Taylor comes to Visit KC after more than eight years with Visit Baltimore, the official destination marketing organization for Maryland’s largest metropolitan area. Most recently serving as a senior national sales manager for the Midwest territory, Taylor worked collaboratively with the Baltimore Convention Center and the hotel community to secure meetings with significant impact for her community. Prior to Visit Baltimore, Taylor spent five years with Hyatt Hotels.

“Kat is a proven leader in destination sales and her arrival will allow us to more aggressively maximize on Kansas City’s restored momentum, particularly in the critical D.C. market,” said Nathan Hermiston, Senior Vice President of Sales & Services. “With the 2023 NFL Draft and 2026 FIFA World Cup knocking at our destination’s door, we are witnessing new and renewed interest in the Heart of America, and Kat will help us translate that energy into meetings and conventions that will drive lasting economic impact to our community.”

A member of Meeting Professionals International and the Professional Convention Management Association, Taylor graduated magna cum laude from Syracuse University with a degree in hospitality management.
