Venue News

Downtown San Diego’s The Guild, a Tribute Portfolio hotel, has recently relaunched their outdoor urban event space with the new name Poppy. The 3,364 square foot space offers a sunken garden feel with climbing vines and urban sophistication with views of skyscrapers. Situated right off of the Grace Ballroom, the event space accommodates up to 500 guests and provides private, urban space with street access via two large sliding doors. Lined with olive trees and overhead lights, the outdoor venue offers guests a relaxing vibe inspired by the ease of Southern European lifestyle.

The largest Embassy Suites in North America recently debuted less than one block from the Music City Center with significant meeting space. Embassy Suites by Hilton Nashville Downtown has 506 guest units, 35,350 square feet of meeting space, and a 9,372-square-foot main ballroom surrounded by 20 breakout rooms. At the top level of the hotel, L30 Restaurant & Bar is the highest rooftop eatery in the city.

Hot off the Press

Marquee Event Rentals of Chicago has purchased inventory and is exclusively partnering with Kansas City-based wedding, design, and décor company Ultrapom. Through this purchase, Marquee will be able to offer their combined client base a one-stop shop for all event needs. “This move will bring a much-needed design element to Marquee’s offering and make shopping for an event in Kansas City a streamlined process,” says Kirk Waldron, CEO Marquee Event Group.
