Inspired by seventeenth century painting Flowers in a Wooden Vessel, Whitney Heard of Whitney Heard Photography set out to capture the high-contrast, moody aesthetic often found in works of that period. With wild, romantic and bright florals, “we thought this was the perfect inspiration for any bride planning an intimate winter celebration.”
Shot at Summerset Studios, Whitney enlisted the help of Alex of Flower Baby Floristry who brought the colour palette to life while adding a modern-day element to the design. Veronique from Rebecca Chan Events designed a moody, renaissance-era tablescape complete with goblets, gold leaf chargers and a navy velvet table cloth. The stunning calligraphy of Paula Lee Calligraphy rounded out the classic, moody look.
The result? A Dutch Still Life Renaissance style shoot complete with elegant dark background, rich crimsons, and amber tones, creating a bold, dramatic, and stunning look.
The couple emulates the perfect image of ethereal whimsy with laidback sophistication, thanks to loose-yet-coiffed hair by Shannon Petrolito, natural make-up by Presley Foskett Makeup and classic-yet-modern groom’s attire by Garrison Bespoke.
Veronique Caron created a magical and romantic environment with overflowing greenery, lush flowers from Flower Baby Floristry, natural elements, and a fairytale-like vibe. The bright blooms from Hilary Adele Floral Design made for an unforgettable backdrop for the princess-like bride with vintage bridal accessories from Blair Nadeau Bridal Adornments.
