We are very excited to announce that business events industry leader Lori Cioffi has joined in the new position of General Manager of Skift Meetings, the trusted source that global business event professionals turn to for guidance, inspiration and innovation in the meetings industry.
Skift Meetings, previously EventMB, has consistently built a reputation as the go-to online resource for the events industry.
Earlier this summer we relaunched EventMB as Skift Meetings for a changed post-pandemic world where meetings, events, technology and travel all play a central role in defining and instilling organizational — and indeed industry — culture. We have evolved it into a resource that informs, intrigues and inspires the meeting professionals who will lead the way in defining this change in our new world.
Lori will help build the next phase of our business events franchise, working along with Miguel Neves, the editor-in-chief of Skift Meetings.
Lori considers the business events industry to be her career “home,” having spent more than three decades leading content teams for travel- and meetings-focused media brands, most recently as the senior vice president and content director at Northstar Meetings Group.
She’s a natural connector, enjoys a good dive down a rabbit hole and is an unrepentant lover of rescue dogs. She’s a proud recipient of a Medal of Tourism from France, and wrote and produced a series on the history of work in NYC for National Public Radio. She divides her time between Manhattan and the Northern Catskills.
