Horwood House joins Venues of Excellence Consortium

Horwood House is the latest member to join the UK’s leading sales and marketing consortium, Venues of Excellence (VOE). The beautiful Grade II listed manor house has recently undergone a transformation to introduce modern touches to the beauty of this preserved conference and events venue.

Located on the outskirts of Milton Keynes, Horwood House is the birthplace of Percy Thrower, so not surprisingly the grounds are beautifully manicured, complemented by a fabulous collection of horticultural heritage books which can be found in The Library. For the conference and event planner, the venue has cleverly combined the past, present and prepared for the future as a leading independent venue with stylish boardrooms, 15 meeting rooms and stunning grounds extending 38 acres offering the perfect location for outdoor events and teambuilding.

Mandy Jennings, CEO, Venues of Excellence welcomed Horwood House into the Venue of Excellence family saying: “From the moment I walked into Horwood House I knew the venue was a perfect fit for Venues of Excellence membership, from the quality of the refurbishment capturing the heritage of the property to the stunning and modern twist of the new furnishings. The ethos of the team perfectly fits our VOE vision and values, and we are delighted to support Caroline and her team to reposition the venue in the conference and events market. “

As an award-winning sales and marketing consortium with quality and excellence at the forefront of the organisation, Venues of Excellence supports independent venues who are working within the meetings, training, conference and events markets and offers a range of tangible benefits to their membership.  On joining the consortium, and looking forward to being supported by the consortium Caroline Morrone, General Manager at Horwood House said: “Joining Venues of Excellence was a clear choice for us as we reposition Horwood House as an independent, luxury country house hotel within the conference and events market. We can see that they will support us in communicating our transition in terms of the refurbishment, brand mission and independency moving forward! They are hugely aligned with our values and its apparent that they are all about quality; genuinely caring about their members – something that is very important to us as our vision is to be the go-to destination for hospitality from the heart.”

In 2022, the consortium has seen a 25% growth in membership, supporting the membership across a number of key initiatives to deliver business opportunities and to maintain the unprecedented confidence clients have when choosing to work with members within the consortium.
