we were very lucky and were invited down to the london hilton metropole to check out their very impressive refurbishment. the evening started with a valentine themed cocktail in the bow bar. the bar is modern with a touch of attitude and great music. the bartenders are highly experienced and the cocktail we had came with a bollinger rose foam – which was delicious! their menu changes to reflect the season and you’ll always find something out the ordinary.
once we finished our cocktails we headed out on a tour of the hotel. starting in the east wing which is designed to represent east london. the meeting spaces were modern, spacious and have everything you need. in the west wing of the hotel you will find their two biggest ballrooms richmond and kensington, each taking up to 1350 guests theatre style. they work perfectly together for large events that need a contemporary conference space and dinner reception afterwards.
most of the bedrooms have been refurbished and have everything you could need. for central london they are very spacious and offer a sleek design.
after seeing all the meeting spaces we were treated to a wonderful dinner experience at the tyburn kitchen. this restaurant prides itself on sustainability and 90% of their produce is sourced within 100 miles of the hotel. we sat down at the chefs table and he prepared a fabulous sharing meal concept for us including dishes of scallops, steak, seabass, crème brulee and much much more!
