Exclusive Collection champions people at the heart of its business. Hotel brand accredited as a Living Wage Employer

Exclusive Collection has become accredited as a real Living Wage Employer and joins other respected people-centric UK businesses.

Since it was founded forty years ago, the independently owned hotel company has maintained strong ownership of the welfare and development of its people and in 2021 it further underlined this commitment by becoming a B Corp.

Exclusive Collection employs more than 1000 people in permanent and casual roles across its hospitality businesses and the accreditation to a real Living Wage Employer has seen some adjustment to comply with the foundation’s governance.

Exclusive Collection is recognised as one of the UK’s foremost hospitality brands to work for through its apprenticeship schemes, Chefs’ Academy and Graduate Programme. The company’s recent B Corp certification also provides benchmarks and encourages best practice around people, their development and duty of care both in the workplace and the community.

There are over 11,000 Living Wage Employers, including half of the FTSE 100, forward thinking B Corp certified businesses and other notable household names.

Carmen Hill, Head of People and Learning at Exclusive Collection, comments: “We are delighted at our real Living Wage accreditation as we join other forward-thinking companies who consider their people as number one priority; especially in this current financial climate. Supporting our people at this time made sense to us and aligning ourselves with the Living Wage Foundation sends a very clear message to everyone at Exclusive about our on-going commitment in this area.  We want to stay true to our values and recognise that a team with good compensation and a happy and supportive working environment enables us to provide great experiences for our guests.  Our guests are the life blood of our business and a strong successful business is good for our people too – providing job security and building our reputation as an employer of choice.”
