Kim Addis Joins Dayton Convention & Visitors Bureau as Director of Sales & Services

DAYTON – The Dayton Convention & Visitors Bureau (Dayton CVB) is pleased to announce that Kim Addis has joined the organization as its Director of Sales & Services. In this role, Addis will oversee the Dayton CVB’s five-person sales and services team, working to develop and implement long- and short-term sales strategies and goals to promote Dayton, Ohio as a premier destination for meetings, conventions, events and groups. “We are excited to welcome Kim into this role,” said Dayton Convention & Visitors Bureau President and CEO Jacquelyn Y. Powell. “With more than 15 years in the hospitality industry, she brings a wealth of destination sales and marketing knowledge to our organization. That expertise will play a key role in the work we do to grow the economic vitality of Dayton and Montgomery County.” Addis holds a BA in Business Administration and a certification in paralegal studies that she used for more than five years, before transitioning into sales and project management with a Nashville, Tennessee-based company for another seven years. She has spent the last 16 years in the hospitality industry, working in sales and marketing. Her hospitality career began in Columbus, Ohio and then took her back to Nashville where she worked for both Marriott and Hilton properties. Addis recently returned to Ohio, relocating to the Dayton area to assist in opening an upcoming hotel property in downtown Dayton. Kim is passionate about her career, family and friends, and looks forward to being a strong supporter of Montgomery County, its residents and visitors, and her co-workers at the Dayton CVB. “After several years away from the area, I fell in love with the Dayton and Montgomery County community all over again,” Addis said. “It felt only natural to move into this sales role with the Dayton Convention & Visitors Bureau. I look forward to the opportunity to help promote and support the community I have grown to love, through my work with the Dayton CVB.” Data released in 2022 for 2021 shows that, in Montgomery County, direct visitor spending of $1.4 billion generated a tourism total economic impact of $2.4 billion, including 22,455 total jobs. Tourism generated $332 million in tax revenues in 2021, representing a $718 per Montgomery County household tax burden relief.
