Hidden Gems, Event Locations: London Edition

26/05/2023

London is a city synonymous with some of the world’s most impressive venues – Alexandra Palace, Printworks, The Barbican and countless other fantastic locations to host your event, regardless of size. At Verve, we love to discover unique venues with a different style and alternative locations for your next event, whether it’s an employee appreciation day, award ceremony, brand activation or birthday milestone.

Our experts have scouted out the top 5 brilliant alternative London venues you need to consider for your upcoming events:

Exclusive hire of HELIX & IRIS at Searcys at The Gherkin

The top two floors of this world-renowned building can be rented to host your next event and is suitable for weddings, private parties or business breakfasts. The iconic glass dome at the top of the Gherkin offers a 360-degree view of London and provides an unforgettable setting with arguably London’s most beautiful sunsets visible out the west facing windows on level 39. Your guests can climb to level 40, where the Iris Bar opens up to a panoramic view of London, and enjoy an experience they won’t forget.

The glass dome at the top of The Gherkin along with 360-degree views of London provide an unforgettable setting for corporate events, parties, weddings and private events. The space is ideal for parties of up to 260 guests and guarantees to leave your guests speechless!

The Book Club  & The Ping Pong Room

We specialise in one of a kind, bespoke events and finding the ideal venue that matches your event requirements is a massive part of that. The Book Club in Shoreditch is a former Victorian warehouse on Leonard Street that is iconic for its outrageous parties and celebration of the arts. This makes it perfect for brand launches, networking events and special occasions.

Split over two spacious floors, the party venue has a ground floor that has recently been given a distinctly fresh overhaul with an incredible Brooklyn-style loft feel as well as other interesting spaces to suit the vibe of any event.

One of the most interesting parts of this space is The Ping Pong Room – a vibrant area with brightly coloured walls, a ping pong table and space for up to 20 guests to enjoy smaller meetings, parties and team building events. Everything about this venue is fun!

Entire Ship at The Golden Hinde

If you’re looking for something completely different and off the wall for your next event, The Golden Hindle is an excellent option. This historic sailing ship, situated next to London Bridge is a unique choice for client receptions, weddings and Christmas parties. With various options for space rental, catering for up to 40 people seated and 120 standing, your guests will be wowed by this intimate, atmospheric location and will have a once in a lifetime experience.

The Nave at St Ethelburga’s Centre

This stunning multi-purpose venue in Bishopsgate is suitable for dinners, meetings and conferences, as well as talks and music events. A combination of the original church structure with stained glass windows, paired with modern glass and white walls creates a deceptively cosy atmosphere given the size of the space making it suitable for both smaller and larger groups.

Available at the same location is The Bedouin Tent, a magical, harmonious event space (the structure is  made in Saudi Arabia and covered in woven goat hair!). This peaceful oasis in the city is more suited to smaller group meetings, baby showers etc.

Studio Z at Studio Z Brixton

We love a versatile venue that’s a blank canvas and gives us the opportunity to flex our creativity and the freedom to create the right vibe for our events, and Studio Z offers just that. Located in London’s buzzing Brixton, this 2000sq ft railway arch multi-purpose Events Space and Photography Studio is the perfect venue to elevate any occasion and impress your clients and guests.

Studio Z spans two interlinked spaces and features a beautiful private outdoor space – perfect for all seasons and occasions. With beautiful exposed Victorian brickwork, natural daylight, blackout options and fantastic acoustics, this space also lends itself perfectly to most events, and the blank walls provide an excellent backdrop for branding, installations or imagery for your brand.

Picking the correct venue is paramount to the success of your event, and creating a memorable experience for your guests is at the heart of what we do. If you’re interested in creating an impactful event for your clients – put your event planning and production in our expert’s hands.
