PeopleVisionFX Creates Anatomical VideoSculpture for LivaNova Sleep Therapy

PeopleVisionFX has created a THN Sleep Therapy presentation using its Anatomical VideoSculpture technology. The display was produced for LivaNova, a leading global medical technology company. The presentation features a video sculpture that explains the mechanism of action for the client’s implantable therapy for the treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). The OSA condition occurs when the muscles in the airway relax during sleep, causing the airway to narrow, depriving the brain of oxygen. OSA affects millions of patients worldwide.

The sculpted torso shows animation of relevant anatomical features along with the implanted THN device. 3-D animation on the figure demonstrates the mechanism of action, visualizing how the device delivers muscle tone to the tongue, controlling airway flow and reducing sleep apnea. In addition to the torso, there is a synchronized flat monitor that provides supporting information.

The Anatomical VideoSculpture is based on the unique PeopleVisionFX process for 3-D video projection. In this process, a contoured signal is matched with a sculpted dimensional screen, producing a projection in virtually any three-dimensional shape.
