Industry Veteran Max Maxwell Joins On Location as Account Executive

MOUNT LAUREL, NJ – Michael “Max” Maxwell has recently joined On Location, a nationwide provider of labor and management services for exhibits, events and environments, as an Account Executive. With an extensive background spanning over two decades in the industry, Max’s expertise has been honed through his years working at exhibit houses. After a brief detour last year with a role at a growth consultancy firm, the allure of the trade show and exhibit industry brought Max back, eager to contribute his unique insights. “It may be cliché, but I love that no two days are the same,” said Maxwell when describing the industry as he looks forward to this new challenge. “Labor is where the rubber meets the road in the exhibit world, and I often say … we build cities and take them down three days later. Watching clients see their visions bloom on a show floor is tremendously rewarding.” The industry veteran went on to add, “I have known Michael, Glen, and Joyce for almost as long as I have been in the industry so I was very excited when approached about this position. It will bring my industry experience full circle.”

“Max’s proven track record speaks for itself. What really excites me is that he brings valuable insights from the perspective of our exhibit house partners,” said On Location President Michael Mulry.

“For many years, I sat across the conference room table with Max as we discussed the many projects that we worked on together. His knowledge of the industry went far beyond the design and build of booths as he had a unique understanding of the client’s journey from concept to completion. I look forward to sitting on the same side of the table now, as he brings that knowledge to the labor side,” said Glen Ruggiero, Director of Sales and Marketing.

An active Northern Illinois University alum, Max’s professional journey started in graphic design before evolving into expansive positions in sales and marketing. Maxwell is currently a member of Women in Manufacturing (WIM) and the Schaumberg Business Association, as well as the Chairman of the Dekalb, Illinois Planning and Zoning Commission. As a former board member of the Midwest Experiential Designers & Producers Association (EDPA), he plans on becoming involved again. One of his favorite pastimes remains drawing, when time allows, and he is a self-proclaimed “foodie.” Maxwell not only enjoys cooking but also appreciates the rich cultures associated with culinary experiences.
