A series of fundraising events will take place during August to help ensure Notting Hill Carnival returns to London’s streets in 2022. The organisers previously announced the event, which had been planned for August 29 and 30, will not take physically take place this year due to the “ongoing uncertainty and risk Covid poses”. Now it has been confirmed events celebrating the carnival’s culture and heritage will take place next month to help cover the costs of next year’s return event.
