The Special Event Company a Nominee for 2021 Pivot Award

APEX, NORTH CAROLINA – Greater Women’s Business Council (GWBC), a leading organization that enhances the competitive value of women business enterprises, announced that The Special Event Company has been named a nominee for the 2021 Pivot Award.

The Company was selected as a nominee after submitting a video of CEO, Sally Webb, CSEP, explaining how the company incorporated innovative ways to sustain the business by adding a new virtual communications service to their event offerings. The broadcast studio (The Studio) produces essential business communications to enable customers to effectively reach their clients, staff and stakeholders virtually. The award winner will be announced during this year’s LACE Awards virtual celebration on November 5.

“After 30+ years of producing live events, we saw a need for our clients to continue to communicate to their audiences – so we continued our education on virtual events and broadcasts, we perfected our craft in new ways, we listened to what our clients were communicating to us that they needed and we adapted to those needs,” said CEO, Sally Webb. “I’m honored to have been selected as a nominee for this award by the GWBC and appreciate the emphasis they have placed on recognizing the pivot many businesses have had to make during these unprecedented times.”

The addition of The Studio has allowed The Special Event Company to become a one stop shop to produce creative, innovative experiences which empowers organizations to leverage their communications with internal or external audiences, keeping a focus on their brand without straining their budgets.

The Pivot Award video submissions will be publicized and distributed through email to all women businesses and corporate members of GWBC to review and vote on. This award is for women business enterprises in the states of Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina and will be selected by popular vote. The award will be given to a Women Business Enterprise (WBE) who has retooled her business or has added a product or service that has made a positive impact on the current environment.
