Tokyo Olympic Games: Spectators barred as state of emergency announced

The Olympic Games in Japan are to be held without spectators due to rising cases of coronavirus. Olympics Minister Tamayo Marukawa made the announcement following discussions with officials and organisers on Thursday evening. When the pandemic struck and in-person events were suspended in early. 2020, a number of BPA-audited trade shows pivoted to become virtual events.
