A luxury Wiltshire golf course is hosting a charity golf day in association with the AA, to help support those who work or have worked within the UK hospitality industry.

Bowood Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort, which sits at the heart of the 2,000-acre Bowood

Estate, is proud to be supporting Hospitality Action, a charity that supports workers in all areas of hospitality to overcome any challenges they may face, from physical and mental illness to financial difficulty, family problems, or addiction.

Jeff Condliffe, General Manager at Bowood Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort, said: “We’re honoured to be hosting this event for the second year for such a worthy cause and to extend a helping hand. We’re doing this, not just for our past and current employees, but for everyone in the industry, as you never know when you might find yourself in a situation where you need that extra bit of support.”

The event will take place on Bowood’s PGA Golf Course on Monday 19th June, offering a day of exciting competitions and team prizes, with individual winners also being picked in a number of nearest the pin and longest drive competitions. The day will culminate in a charity auction, prize giving, and a delicious 3-course dinner, which includes an arrival drink and wine.

Simon Numphud, Managing Director, AA Media “ After the great success of our inaugural South West Hospitality Action Golf day last year, we are delighted to return to Bowood once again. Their support and generosity of this event is tremendous, ensuring a wonderful day of golf and raising vital funds to help the great work that Hospitality Action does to support so many in our industry in their time of need”.

Golfers will also have access to all of Bowood’s practice facilities, including the PGA Academy Course and Driving Range supervised by Bowood’s expert team.

With refreshments and registration starting at 8.30am, the Hospitality Action Charity Golf Day will be packed with a busy schedule of golfing events, before rounding off with dinner at 5.30pm.

The official PGA Golf Course for the South West is part of the luxury Bowood Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort. Alongside its golf offering, Bowood’s amenities include its two AA Rosette Shelburne Restaurant, the luxurious The Spa at Bowood, and its principal hotel accommodation.
