Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel appoint expert consultants Catch the MICE to drive future business

The Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel appoint Manchester based consultancy Catch the MICE as part of their strategy to help drive future meeting and event business at the Glasgow flagship hotel.

Voted Scotland’s ‘Conference Hotel of the Year in 2020’, the Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel, the UK’s only NHS owned hotel, is building on their successes of recent years and investing significantly in their event-technology infrastructure. The hotel is already a leading light in hybrid and training events and intends to become a centre of innovation and excellence within this field, providing state of the art digital facilities for conference delegates of the future.

As part of their long-term strategic plan, the hotel is keen to build on their established NHS and Public Sector business, and have engaged Catch the MICE on a long-term arrangement, to promote the conference hotel, explore new markets and attract event planners to the highly accessible city of Glasgow.

Stuart Mitchell, Managing Director of Catch the MICE said ‘It’s clear that the team at the Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel have an aspirational vision of where they want to reposition themselves and its refreshing to see the work that has already taken place to assist in this process. The facilities are already exceptional; however, the additions planned over the coming months will elevate their proposition yet further which I am sure will be appealing to UK event planners. I look forward to revealing this exciting news later this month.

Having diversified our portfolio to include Event Technology in recent years, the Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel is a perfect fit all-round. It’s a flexible MICE venue, with exceptional indoor and outdoor space that is able to offer expert in-house technical support and provide unique solutions for post-pandemic event planners who wish to benefit from the advantages that good quality technology can offer. Not only can delegates meet, relax and engage in person, but organisers are safe in the knowledge that remote delegates can be incorporated easily and their conference content can be broadcast to a wider audience, thus maximising event ROI and minimising event carbon emissions; I couldn’t be more excited.”

Denis Flanagan, Commercial and Logistics Director at The Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel said “We are thrilled to have Stuart and his team on-board, Catch the MICE have the expertise and the shared vision we were looking for to ensure the success of our ambitious growth strategy. Catch the MICE intend to incorporate modern technology to represent us in the most sustainable method possible, including on-line showcase events and educational trips utilising public transport where at all possible. Being only a short distance from Glasgow City Centre we are lucky enough to have train facilities on our door-step as well as other major transport options nearby. Catch the MICE have already gelled with our fabulous in-house team and we will be working together as one to showcase this incredible hotel. I look forward to welcoming many returning, as well as new, event organisers through our doors in the not too-distant future.

The Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel will be joining Catch the MICE and EVENTIT on their upcoming series of roadshows planned later this year. Please contact Stuart Mitchell at Catch the MICE for more details.
