Selling bank holiday tickets, updates, and more

The bank holiday weekend is rapidly approaching! It may seem a little late to push your event, but as the final bank holiday of the year, many people are looking for a last-minute mind-blowing event to see out the summer. No matter what kind of event you’re putting on, now’s the time for that last push to secure those sales.

In this update, we’ve included on sale tips, some features to help you boost sales and improve customer experience, an update on the Festival Guides, and more.

Our top three On Sale tips

Enable the Remind Me feature – Perfect for customers who hate to miss the best events or those who are forgetful, Remind Me lets those who have registered interest in your event know when tickets are going on sale. To enable Remind Me, ensure your listing is live and the tickets are set to come on sale at a later date.

Decide whether you prefer to stagger tickets – Do you want your tickets available in increments or all at the same time? For example, a festival might stagger tickets so they can increase ticket prices as each bracket sells out. But tickets for a live music gig might be sold all at once. How you choose to sell your tickets is entirely up to you. Both work brilliantly and allow customers to see ticket price increments.

Shout about your event from the rooftops! – With thousands of posts uploaded to social media every minute, your event can get lost in the noise. Regularly share the link that takes customers directly to your event listing to ensure everyone knows about your event.

Sell more tickets with Cool:Off

When your customers want to attend your event as a big group, buying tickets at the same time can be tricky. And when they’re scrambling to coordinate themselves, they aren’t buying your tickets, meaning they could miss out on tickets.

Our Cool:Off feature allows your customers to buy their tickets now without needing plans to be completely certain. Allowing them to secure a refund if plans fall through, Cool:Off boosts ticket sales while providing extra flexibility to your customers.

Never waste a ticket with ReSell

Sometimes plans change and there’s nothing your customers can do about it. But instead of letting their tickets go to waste, enable ReSell to allow another customer to fill their spot. This way everyone’s happy and there’s extra money in your pocket from the increase in ticket revenue.

Touring artists on Skiddle

We’d like to welcome Chase & Status, Ne-Yo, and Carl Cox to Skiddle as they join us to embark on tours in the UK and Europe. More and more often Skiddle is the go-to for touring artists and we’re delighted to welcome more to our platform very soon.

In case you missed it…

We’re happy to report that updating our Festival Guides with a new design and new features is proving successful! Comparing the 4 weeks before the new guide went live to the 4 weeks after, we’ve seen a 38% increase in traffic to the festival guide pages, a 53% increase in ticket sales, and an 11% increase in our conversion rate.

We’re working on improving access to RapidScan, our barcode entry solution that gets attendees in the door faster. Rather than sharing sensitive details, a QR code will be generated, giving staff easy and safe access to your account. You’ll also be able to set permissions to ensure access to certain functions and/or details are restricted for each user you create.
