Yukon’s Untamed Beauty: A Hidden Gem for Unique Events

Part, seven of my series, highlighting domestic destination events & meeting experiences is (thanks to Air North, Yukon’s Airline) a direct flight from Toronto.

A post from the folks at the Yukon Convention Bureau from Ottawa Meet Week had me taking a closer look at a unique destination I admittedly didn’t know a lot about, but I’m glad I did.

Whitehorse, Yukon is a welcoming town with big-city amenities, beautiful bucket list scenery, (Kathleen Lake) fabulous food (Wayfarer Oster House), full-service venues, and a brand new nordic style spa (Eclipse Nordic Hot Springs) that should be included in every visitor’s itinerary.

It’s big enough to offer everything you need but with a small-town spirit of inclusion that invites guests in and makes them feel at home. I’ve nothing against the big destinations, but it’s easy to lose focus when so many things are competing for the attention of your attendees

In Whitehorse, everything you need is close by and that’s ideal if your goal is to create a memorable shared experience.

International travel restrictions & evolving mitigation practices will be with us for a while, but the reality is we are a huge country and you don’t need to go anywhere to gain access to experiences that are completely different from each other.

Whether you’re looking for an intimate east coast experience, the European sensibilities of Montreal or Quebec City, the hustle of Toronto, the wide-open spaces of our prairie partners, the beauty of British Columbia, or the spectacular northern destinations we’ve got more to offer in our one country than 10 others combined

So make sure you consider Canada for your next destination event or meeting but take the time to look beyond the obvious choices and you’ll be rewarded with memories your attendees won’t forget.
