2022 Marks a Year of Celebration in Nashville
9/29/2021
NASHVILLE – Music City is excited to celebrate the milestone anniversaries of some of the city’s most popular attractions, venues and festivals, as well as its continued growth through the openings of new hotels, a range of eateries, a sports arena and more in 2022.

“After the ups and downs we’ve all endured over the past year and a half, we’re looking forward to celebrating the anniversaries of some of Music City’s biggest institutions and events that help make Nashville so unique,” said Deana Ivey, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp. “These milestones are significant on their own but even more appreciated now.”

Music-Focused Anniversaries, 2022:
  • Ryman Auditorium | 130th
  • Nashville Symphony | 75th
  • Historic RCA Studio B | 65th
  • CMA (Country Music Association) Awards | 55th
  • Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum | 55th
  • Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) | 55th
  • The Bluebird Cafe | 40th
  • Tin Pan South Songwriters Festival | 30th
  • Music City Walk of Fame | 15th
  • Schermerhorn Symphony Center | 15th
Other Notable Anniversaries, 2022:
  • Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage, Home of the People’s President | 255th
  • Belle Meade Historic Site & Winery | 215th
  • Thistle Farms | 25th
When visiting Nashville in 2022, be sure to leave room to explore all the new openings the year has to offer. As Music City continues to expand its luxury offerings, three new high-end hotels will open in Spring 2022: Conrad Nashville (Broadway/West End) with onsite restaurant Halls Chophouse, 1Hotel Nashville (Downtown) and Four Seasons Nashville (Downtown) with onsite local restaurant The Rutledge. By way of food, East Nashville will also welcome a few new eateries including Xiao Bao Biscuit, All People Coffee and Snooze, an A.M. Eatery. In Germantown, acclaimed restaurant Tailor Nashville will relocate a few streets down from its previous shared space to a standalone restaurant and local hotpot Edley’s Bar-B-Que is bringing their Nashville-Hot Style bites to the Donelson neighborhood with the opening of their eighth and largest location.

Music City’s up-and-coming Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood will also welcome the largest soccer-specific stadium in the United States next year as home base for Nashville’s MLS team, Nashville SC, who celebrated their first season in 2020. The stadium will hold 30,000 fans and feature a 360-degree canopy, all just minutes from downtown. Earlier in the summer, both Bonnaroo (TBD June) and CMA Fest (June 9-12) plan their comeback after two years of cancelled events, and for race fans the Music City Grand Prix will take over the streets of Downtown Nashville again August 5-7 after a successful inaugural race in 2021.

Flying in and out of Nashville International Airport (BNA) will also have a new look and feel. While the multi-year renovations won’t be fully complete in 2022, the airport will still welcome many local eateries to its concourses and significant progress on both the new state-of-the-art International Arrivals Facility and on-airport Hilton-branded hotel (both officially opening in 2023).

In February 2021 Nashville was named a Safe Travels destination by the World Travel & Tourism Council, making it one of only a few destinations in the United States to achieve the designation. Nashville businesses that are members of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp’s Good to Go program display the Safe Travels logo to give added confidence of their health and safety measures to patrons.
