PHLCVB Promotes Joe Heller to Senior VP of Marketing and Communications

The Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau (PHLCVB) today announced that Joe Heller has been promoted to senior vice president, marketing and communications. In his expanded role, Heller will lead the greater marketing and communications team that now includes four core areas of focus – marketing, communications, content and partnerships. 
“We saw an opportunity to bring together partnerships and marcom that will allow us to advance our offerings and better serve our partners, customers and key stakeholders,” said Gregg Caren, PHLCVB president and CEO. “Joe is a proven, collaborative leader who has made great strides on behalf of the PHLCVB and the multiple lines of business that we serve.”
Heller has more than 15 years of marketing and communications experience. Prior to joining the PHLCVB in 2019, he served as vice president of brand strategy and creative content for the Philadelphia Flyers. During his nine seasons with the team, he also led the Flyers mascot project resulting in the creation of “Gritty” — sparking national and international media interest and propelling the Flyers brand recognition to new heights.
