AmpliVox Honors Northbrook Women in Business and Feeding America

NORTHBROOK, IL - AmpliVox Sound Systems, a long supporter of local and national charities, recently participated in a Northbrook Chamber of Commerce Women in Business Networking Luncheon featuring Katie Fitzgerald, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Feeding America. Fitzgerald is a Northbrook resident. AmpliVox donated the use of an AmpliVox SW925 portable sound system for the outdoor luncheon, as it has done for other Chamber of Commerce events. “AmpliVox is very pleased to support these multiple organizations and causes,” said CEO Don Roth. “As an active member of the Northbrook Chamber, we’re also proud to recognize many very talented women in business such as Katie Fitzgerald. Feeding America is a magnificent organization that has done so much to help feed those in need, during the COVID pandemic and on a continuing basis.” 
Over four decades, Feeding America has grown into the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization. Its network of 200 food banks across the country feeds 40 million people at risk of hunger, including 12 million children and 7 million seniors. Katie Fitzgerald leads the implementation of Feeding America’s strategy, working hand in hand with member food banks and other key partners. She has spent her career in the nonprofit sector, working to improve outcomes for vulnerable children, youth and families. Prior to Feeding America, she served in leadership positions for many organizations including the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, Make-a-Wish Oklahoma, the Center for Children and Families in Norman, Oklahoma, and more. Katie earned her bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Michigan. She and her family moved to Northbrook in July.
