Duke Energy Convention Center Named One of Top 30 Convention Centers in North America for Third Consecutive Year

CINCINNATI, OH – The Duke Energy Convention Center (DECC) has been named a 2023 Center of Excellence by EXHIBITOR Magazine, an industry leading publication for trade shows and events for the third consecutive year.

Honoring North America's best convention centers for trade shows and events, the Centers of Excellence awards recognize the best large and small trade show venues based on a variety of criteria within five different categories.

The myriad criteria considered were categorized into five primary areas:

Facility & Functionality
Location & Accommodations
Service & Execution
Expansions & Upgrades
Awards & Industry Participation

“To be recognized for a Centers of Excellence award for the third consecutive year is a testament to our staff’s hard work, dedication, and commitment to our clients, exhibitors, and guests,” says OVG360’s Ric Booth, General Manager of the Duke Energy Convention Center. “As the stewards of the DECC for the City of Cincinnati we are humbled and proud to be named one of the top 30 convention centers in North America for the third year in a row!”

The evaluation process also included a survey of event planners, show organizers, and exhibit managers who have recently hosted (or exhibited at) events within each facility, as well as a review of entrants’ event spaces, selling points, and innovations, conducted by a panel of corporate exhibit managers.

“These facilities have proven their ability to host trade shows and events of all shapes and sizes while providing world-class service and state-of-the-art accommodations,” said Travis Stanton, editor in chief of EXHIBITOR magazine. “While individual exhibit managers rarely have a say in where their trade shows are held, they are often the ones most impacted by that decision. This is their opportunity to give credit where credit is due and celebrate the exhibitor-friendly venues that do their part to make trade shows and events as smooth, successful, and painless as possible.”

In EXHIBITOR's special awards category, the convention center is also a finalist for Best Convention Center. Winners will be announced later this year.
