Piing will play a starring role at the largest digital ceiling in  Europe with a multi-year deal to screen its unique mass-player arcade games at the revamped Printworks events and leisure complex.

Games will be screened both day and night on Printworks’ massive Pumpyard screen. In an industry first, Piing is also developing bespoke mass-participation games systems that will enable thousands of visitors to interact and play with branded content on giant screens like Printworks ceiling, promising an unheralded opportunity for players to experience Piing crowd gaming like never before..

The screens are a defining feature of Printworks, which has undergone a £21m refurbishment and will be brought alive by Manchester-based Piing.

Co-founder Ed Baldry said: “We’re really excited about Printworks visitors getting to play Piing games, with up to 100 players able to join in at a time. Piing’s tech is making big screens interactive all over the world and this incredible new set of mega screens at Printworks is perfect for what we do”

Piing games can be played by anyone with a smartphone. Players just scan the QR code on the big screen to join the game without downloading an app.

The games are proven crowd pleasers and have been used to much success at global sports events including the F1 British Grand Prix at Silverstone, the Women’s World Cup and the Cycling World Championships.

As well as providing exceptional fun, Piing games are ideal for data capture and also provide the ultimate branding tool, taking brands off the big screen and putting them in front of their audience via their treasured mobile phone. Piing research has proven that players associate the games with positive experiences.
