The East of England Arena and Events Centre (EEAEC) has announced it has been chosen as the venue for a large, new motor show: the International Sports Car and Classic Car Show, May 24-26, 2019. The show will be occupying all the indoor event space available, and much of the 250 acres of outdoor event space. Expected to attract tens of thousands of visitors, the show will feature hundreds of sports and classic car clubs exhibiting their rare and classic vehicles, 1200+ trade stands selling accessories & parts in the main hall and outside, guests from the world of motorsport, a live car auction and a programme of evening entertainments with live bands and acts.

The show has been organised and conceived by Chris Campbell of Layzeedog Media & Publishing, who explained his reasons for choosing EEAEC as the venue for this inaugural event, “Quite simply, East of England Arena and Events Centre has everything we need and want for a family oriented classic and sports car festival. Ample outdoor space for static displays, a large indoor arena with plentiful and varied connected event space, camping hookups, plenty of hard standing and unparalleled transport links. A site visit and meeting the arena event team confirmed our belief that East of England Arena was the perfect venue for our new show. The venue has a wide range of partners providing everything from top-flight catering to signage and event AV, simplifying the process for us enormously.”

“Highlights of the show,” continued Campbell, “will include a Vintage Festival and a Classics in the Park concert on the Sunday evening with a first-class fireworks display planned afterwards.”

Dean Reees, EEAEC’s business development manager welcomed Campbell’s decision saying, “This new show will be a great sports and classic car show for all-comers, and promises to deliver not just for the petrol-heads but their families too. We’re well-equipped and accustomed to hosting shows of this scale and scope, and will be using our festival and motorsport experience and expertise to ensure it’s a successful and popular event.”
