When it comes to ticketing, one size does not fit all. Every venue has its own physical space — maybe with balconies and mezzanines, maybe with reserved seats or just GA — and every show presents its own set of challenges. When pre-sales are booming, VIP is filling up, and the artist wants to add just one more name to the guest list, you need an inventory management system that can roll with the punches and work for you.

GA Holds, released this week to all Eventbrite Music users, is the latest in a string of recent improvements made to our inventory and holds management system. With an ever-evolving platform, more tools are (always) on the way, but we’re excited to share the latest updates with you:

Sections

Sections allow you to divide general admission and reserved events into multiple sections with shared total inventory, which can each contain multiple ticket types.

Holds Tab

A new Holds tab has been added to the Tickets screen. Here, you can create holds at the ticket level or within a specific section. Once a hold has been created, you can also release, transfer, or delete holds from this screen without affecting total inventory.

Holds Color Options

Differentiate between your holds with a pre-selected array of color options, or click “+” to create a custom holds color.

Ticket Level Hold

You have the option to gate a Hold behind a configurable access code, giving you the flexibility to offer discounts, limit the number of times the code can be used, specify which tickets the code can be applied to, and set an expiration date for the code.

We love a packed house, so we hope these new tools will help you stay organized, keep artists and fans happy, and sell out without over-selling.
