This year, IMEX America is being held in September in the Entertainment Capital of the World, Las Vegas. With a schedule packed with sessions focusing on imagination, event tech, wellness, experiential, and sustainability, and so many things to do in America’s Playground, attendees will have to make the prioritize Vegas’s must-see attractions.

1. Association Evening

Celebrate day one of IMEX America with cocktails, canapes, and connecting with peers on Monday, September 9, 2019, at the Association Evening event. If you have already registered for Smart Monday as an association executive, then you’re already on the guestlist for this event! If not, you can register for the event here.

2. SITE Nite North America

If you’re looking to network with peers in the incentive travel professional industry, then the SITE Foundation event is a must-attend for you! Occurring on Monday, September 9, 2019, at KAOS in The Palms, the networking fund raises funds for the SITE Foundation. Tickets for the event can be purchased here.

3. #IMEXrun

Get out of the conference room and stretch your legs by joining the #IMEXrun on Wednesday morning, September 11, 2019. Part of IMEX’s “Be Well” theme, IMEX America encourages attendees to attend the 5km run, jog, or walk with their peers.

4. IMEX America Night- MPI Foundation Rendezvous

If you’re looking to give back to your industry, then this is the event for you! The proceeds of IMEX America Night, which takes place on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at Drai’s Beach Club and Nightclub rooftop, are donated to MPI’s Foundation scholarships for industry professionals. 5. The Venetian Casino & the Grand Canal

After a day packed with sessions at IMEX America, unwind at the Venetian Casino and the Grand Canal. Featuring the highlights of Venice, Italy, the Venetian features gondola rides along the Grand Canal, shops, 10 pools, a Canyon Ranch Spa, a Madame Tussauds wax museum, and yes, a casino.

6. The Strip

Whether this is your first-time visiting Vegas or not, the Strip is always a fun place to visit. Packed with amazing restaurants, attractions, like the Eiffel Tower at Paris, the Strip has something for everyone. To experience it all, you can book a guided tour, a Deuce bus, or hop on the monorail.

7. Lake Mead

In addition to being filled with man-made wonders, Vegas also features natural wonders, like Lake Mead. Located only 30 minutes away from the center of the city, Lake Mead features beautiful beaches, swimming, kayaking, and hiking. Visitors can enjoy a day at the beach and be back in time for dinner and the casino.

8. Neon Museum

Take a trip through the history of Las Vegas through neon lights at the Neon Museum. Founded in 1996, the Neon Museum features signs from Las Vegas that exhibit the city’s historic culture, art, and education. Visitors can explore the museum during the day or at night.

9. Red Rock Canyon

If you’re looking to escape the neon lights of the Vegas Strip, then the Red Rock Canyon is for you! Located a few miles from the center of Las Vegas, the 195,819-acre national conservation area features 26 different hiking trails, biking baths, climbing, camping grounds, a 13-mile car route, and more. Make sure you pack lots of water and sunscreen, because the average temperature of the scenic red hills is 95 degrees.

10. Bellagio Fountains

Located outside the Bellagio resort, the renown Bellagio Fountains offer visitors a water, light, and music show every 15 to 30 minutes. The best part of the Foundations of Bellagio is that they are free and open to any visitor!

11. High Roller

Currently the world’s tallest Ferris wheel, the High Roller located at the LINQ Hotel, soars 550 feet above the ground. Visitors will enjoy 30 minutes of 360-degree views of the Strip and Las Vegas Valley. Daytime tickets cost $25 and night ride tickets, starting after 7 pm, cost $37.
