An innovative new event space – Magazine London– is set to launch in summer 2019 and change the face of live events in the capital.

Conceived by Venue Lab– a Vibration Group company and creators of the award-winning venues Printworks London and Landing Forty Two – the unique Magazine London is a multi-million pound joint investment in a new cultural destination for London and destined to be one of the most important new event spaces in the city for decades.

The ground-up project in the heart of Greenwich Peninsula will stand on the riverbank with stunning views of Canary Wharf and will offer a flexible 3000 capacity venue (5394 sq m) – a sleek, modern blank canvas perfect for hosting anything from concerts, conferences, exhibitions, product launches, parties, award ceremonies and dinners. Catering will be supplied by the award-winning Moving Venue, caterers for more than 50 of London’s leading venues from Printworks to Eventim Apollo.

The Magazine London brand was created in conjunction with London’s Carter Studio whose acclaimed work includes Unilever, Norton and the F1 identity. The building was designed by world renowned architect Nissen Richards whose impressive portfolio includes the V&A Lecture Theatre and Seoul Opera House.

In addition to the cutting-edge contemporary indoor space, Magazine London’s USP is the adjoining Showground – a landscaped environment on the banks of the Thames boasting 13,985 sq m and a capacity of 7,000 – delivering a combined space of 19,379 sq m and capacity of 10,000 opening up the potential for festivals and outdoor concerts.

Benefiting from excellent transport links – North Greenwich Tube station is less than 300m away – Magazine London is only 8 minutes travel time from central London.

Vibration Group have partnered with Knight Dragon, an international property and investment company, to realise Magazine London.

Simon Tracey, Vibration Group CEO said: “Working with Knight Dragon is an incredible opportunity. They are an extremely dynamic company with a proven international track record and developments in four continents.

“London is still very much at the forefront of live events globally and Magazine, with it’s incredible flexibility both indoor and out, is ground breaking.”

Knight Dragon Ltd CEO Richard Margreesaid: “Magazine London fits superbly with what we’re doing on Greenwich Peninsula – creating a new London underpinned by creativity, a community with culture and entertainment at its heart. As well as the hugely successful O2 and the Design District opening in 2020, Magazine London adds another dimension, and another destination, to the emerging Peninsula.”

Vibration GroupStrategy & Creative Director, Simeon Aldred added: “It’s a pivotal moment for Venue Lab and hugely significant for London. Greenwich Peninsula is a flagship global development and one of the single largest regeneration projects in Europe. To be developing a brand new cultural venue here is exciting for us and crucial in placemaking, adding to the cultural diversity and investment Knight Dragon are bringing to the area.”

Construction of Magazine London begins December 2018 with the launch set for summer 2019.
