Looking to spice up your visit to Indianapolis, Indiana? Livery, situated less than a 15-minute drive from Indy’s famed Monument Circle and just a block off of Massachusetts Avenue — a hotspot for art galleries, entertainment, shopping, and of course, great eats — offers the flavors of Latin America in this Midwestern city.

The restaurant — located inside a restored 1890s building that once stabled horses — is a two-story, neighborhood eatery with indoor and outdoor seating and an extensive, diverse menu. Diners can begin with sweet plantains and grilled artichokes as appetizers; try Portobello tostadas, skirt steak, and pork tamales that are perfectly portioned to share family-style with a group; and nosh on six varieties of empanadas, including steak, corn, and lamb.

Need a drink? Livery’s specialty is tequila — and it offers a whole lot of the blue agave-based liquor. Livery’s drinks feature Latin flair, from its Livery margarita that features Maestro Dobel Silver tequila, Lazzaroni Triplo, lime, and agave, to its eight specialty cocktails that include Mezcal El Diablo, which is a mix of Del Maguey Vida mezcal, crème de cassis, lime, agave, and ginger beer.
