52eight3, a London-based company providing support to event tech businesses, has announced it will be an official sponsor of Event Tech Live’s Launchpad 2018 competition. Winners of the Launchpad 2018 competition will receive £2,000 worth of specialist consultation, practical advice and marketing support to help propel their brand and tech into the events world courtesy of 52eight3.

“We hope that we can provide startup companies with support to help them have a better understanding of the exhibition industry and get their products and services to market,” Katie Crocombe, 52eight3 Director, said.

Event Tech Live is an annual event that showcases the best and brightest new technology for the events industry and will take place this year on the 7th and 8th of November at the Truman Brewery, London. 52eight3 join long-term sponsors VISIT by GES as supporters for the 2018 Launchpad competition which is one of the most popular segments in the Event Tech Live programme.

The competition has undergone some changes and this year it will see a new format. Launchpad entrants must submit a one-minute video explaining their new product no later than 31stJuly. The videos will be voted on by the public and the three to receive the most votes will qualify for Day 2 of the Event Tech Live showcase.

The three winners will give a presentation at Event Tech Live in front of a panel of judges. The judges will vote and rank each tech startup product in gold, silver and bronze categories. The overall winner will receive a prize from the Launchpad competition which will include 52eight3’s significant sponsorship donation.

“We chose to sponsor the event as we want to support the growth of event tech and for the longevity of the industry,” Crocombe added.

Event Tech Live’s Launchpad event can open the door for startup companies to be seen by a wider audience. The website has a large readership that can expose new tech to industry insiders and experts. Event Tech Live also boasts a large social media network that reaches more than 60,000 users.
