The Launchpad, Event Tech Live’s sought-after platform for start-ups and new technology, will be back at the show in November with a bigger footprint and a remodelled competition.

Launchpad is a cost-effective liaison between nascent next-generation event tech suppliers and industry buyers/investors. Recognised for its impact, Launchpad benefits from significant subsidy and sponsorship and its own stage programme featuring live tech demos from its exhibitors.

Long-term supporter Visit by GES is sponsoring the new format Launchpad competition, which requires entrants to submit a one-minute explainer video, detailing their ‘new tech’ product or initiative, by July 31.

Following a public vote, the three most impressive will be announced on Day 1 of Event Tech Live and invited to deliver a short presentation on Day 2 in front of a live audience. An expert panel of judges will rank the companies Gold, Silver and Bronze, with a significant prize for each category.

Matt Coyne, Technology Engagement Architect at GES EMEA, comments: We are extremely excited to continue to support the Launchpad competition at Event Tech Live. It’s an exciting time for the event technology sector and this competition is a great opportunity to see the latest innovations for our industry.”

Open to Launchpad exhibitors and qualifying start-ups from around the show, the competition guarantees great exposure among event professionals, including 57,000 readers of www.eventindustrynews.com (EIN) and over 60,000 social media connections. Entrants also receive a marketing pack to help optimise their award campaign.

Show organiser Adam Parry added: “The financial contributions made by GES and EIN means that every Launchpad stand comes with a TV screen, an extra power socket together with Wi-Fi and access to the matchmaking programme.”

Year-on-year growth sees Event Tech Live expand to two days in 2018. The show returns to the Old Truman Brewery, Brick Lane, on November 7 and 8. www.eventtechlive.com
