Returning for yet another year at Event Tech Live is the much sought-after Launchpad initiative, sponsored by long-term supporter, Visit by GES.

Well-known for connecting budding, next-generation businesses with industry buyers/investors, the competition aims to offer a ‘leg-up’ to start-up companies and providers of new technology.

Exhibitors that wish to enter must submit a one-minute video explaining their new technology, product or initiative by 31stAugust. A public vote prior to Event Tech Live ranks the top three entrants which are then unveiled on day one of the show.

Day two will call upon these shortlisted companies to present a short pitch from the Expo & Engage Stage in front of a live audience. A panel of judges will decide the gold, silver and bronze winners, with each category awarded a significant prize. Last year, Lineup Ninja, VoxR and YADA won gold, silver and bronze respectively.

Joe Atkinson, co-founder of Lineup Ninja, commented: “Being involved in Event Tech Live’s Launchpad programme has been transformational for us. As relative industry outsiders, it gave us a great opportunity to meet some key people in the industry, put our product in front of them and get their feedback.

“We were also able to share experiences with other start-ups in the Launchpad area, and we generated some high-quality leads from attendees who visited the stand.”

Event Tech Live co-founder, Adam Parry, added: “We set the Launchpad up to give a helping hand to deserving start-ups and encourage new technology. We are pleased to say we are bringing it back for yet another year and we look forward to seeing all the entrants this year.”

This competition guarantees great exposure to all those who enter, including Event Industry News’ 30,000 unique monthly readers and over 68,000 social media followers. Launchpad participants start to build a customer base before Event Tech Live even opens its doors.
