VUE CONFERENCES & EVENTS’ SHOWCASE BRINGS THE GLAMOUR TO HYBRID

Recently 280 event organisers enjoyed the red-carpet treatment for a glamorous hybrid showcase featuring a screening of the recently released film ‘House of Gucci’ with speakers in two London locations and Leeds.

180 planners from corporates including L’Oreal, HSBC, Facebook and UKTV and agencies such Hirespace, Hatch and Story Events were welcomed at Vue West End Cinema in Leicester Square whilst simultaneously 100 organisers attended Vue Leeds Light on the Headrow. Both venues complied to the latest Government guidelines.

Rachel Macaulay, head of conferences and events at Vue said “This event showed how a cinema setting amplifies hybrid events and takes them to the next level. With Sony 4K delivering four times the definition of a home television and sound through Dolby Atmos, plus modern venue styling and delicious food, it’s impossible to find an equitable offer anywhere else.”

Macaulay continued “We have 227 venues across the UK and Europe, and with satellite capability we can stream to them all as well as individual homes if need be.”

Production company AP Events was on hand to handle the streaming of speaker fashion historian Amber Butchart in Leicester Square and Rachel Macaulay’s introduction to Vue via Zoom from Ealing, streamed to Wayne Lamb at the Leeds Vue and vice versa.

The evening began in London with guests served Rossini and Cucumber Martinis – Gucci’s main colours – or Prosecco on arrival, the cocktails complete with ice diamonds from pioneers Icebox who delivered their newest creation to add to the glamour.

Gucci inspired canapés such as tartufo bianco & wild funghi Guccio arancini with Parmigiano crema, Patrizia’s queen scallops and pernod syrup plus Palazzo Pitti Parma ham cannelloni with tapenade di olivo were served, followed by sweet treats including Aldo’s crepes al Italiano with Sicilian lemon syrup and sugar shards and Sala Bianca baked cheesecake with blueberry Flora crema. All created by The Caterers who devised the menu with the Gucci family’s poignant moments and colourful history in mind.

Hayley Nolan from ABN Amro said of the event “This is the first time I’ve been to a hybrid event in a cinema and it’s a fantastic experience. This format is very much here to stay so Vue is a great option for us.”
