Each morning I make it my duty to start with a routine that makes me feel my best – mentally, physically, and spiritually. I set my alarm 20 minutes before the actual time I would like to get out of bed because I normally need some time to be still and transition my mind. Once I have cleaned up it is important for me to stretch, pray, drink a glass of water, and review my affirmations and current goals. I believe that how you begin your day sets the tone for the remainder of the day. I also make sure that I have at least one morning, like a Saturday, where I stay in bed a little longer to read a book and indulge in rest.”

On the day of your virtual event, send an email out to your community an hour before because everyone is so last minute with virtual. We are finding that 50% of our registrations come 48hours just before the event. People do not have to plan for virtual and when you wave something under their nose just before the starting time, you can get a surprisingly good late boost in attendance.”

“I believe it’s important to give yourself time in the morning to work on your energy and mindset. I like to start my day with a 20-minute walk to get fresh air and grab a tea to go!

Always check in with your ‘why’ because that’s the biggest motivator we have. When it comes to structuring my day, I’m super goal-orientated and break them into quarterly, monthly, weekly, and daily actionable goals, creating clear and concise tasks which are prioritised accordingly for the day ahead.

Moving forward, the integration of a hybrid approach to events and the opportunity to do them better than ever is exciting and I look forward to seeing it develop and being a part of it. Finally, I'm lucky to work with an amazing team! Every morning without fail we message each other on our group chat, and Just having that morning team banter really helps to set the tone for the day.”

“When it comes to morning routines, I always take the time to reflect on what I am expecting my day to look and feel like. Before I touch my phone to check emails or see what buzz is happening, I like to be intentional about what is going to happen today. When I rush past this process I completely forget about what is important for me. Sure I have a schedule filled with client requirements, but if I’m to execute those in the right fashion, my intention must be established first. But intention isn’t just for work. Setting the right boundaries for the day is essential. Maintaining my peace and learning when to leave work at work helps to set the right tone for my day. Doing these things gets me motivated for what the day brings because I’ve just set myself up for success and who doesn’t get excited about that?”

“In terms of daily motivation for working from home, I actually try to exercise at 3 pm for 30 mins. I'm sure I'm not alone when I say this, but I've found that when working from home, the workday begins earlier, so I need a little exercise pick-me-up to see me through until the end of the working day!”

Maggie

“I start each day by taking my pup for a half-hour walk around our neighborhood. I really value this time because it starts my day with movement and peace. I have my best creative ideas and find solutions to problems during these walks -- they provide a sort of space away from the intensity that some of my days can bring.”
