While binging your favorite shows and movies, it’s easy to spot someone after your own event planner heart. Maybe they always have great ideas. Maybe they are even more organized than you. Or maybe you would just want to be there to see the resulting fireworks.

Here are your top 5 favorite event planner kindred spirits from your post-work TV time.

Molly Weasley from the Harry Potter series

You thought it was going to be Hermione, right? Well, the unsung hero of the Golden Trio may be great at showing up to parties (shoutout to Hermione one-upping everyone at the Yule Ball) but planning them? That requires experience, stubbornness, and the negotiation skills of an expert lawyer. Who better to tackle that than Molly Weasley? If she can handle six — wait — seven kids, then she can handle anything a pack of rowdy attendees may have to throw at her. If only you had a magical kitchen clock like hers to keep track of your own team…Though considering everything you have to handle, it’s likely that all the hands would always be pointing to “mortal peril.”

Steve Harrington from Stranger Things

Everyone’s favorite honorary dad is the perfect choice to plan the next big bash of the century. Not only will sponsorship proposals look like next to nothing compared with a pack of Demo-dogs, Steve (like Molly Weasely) has experience keeping a bunch of rowdy children in line. Steve’s come a long way from shotgunning beers to impress girls, but he certainly hasn’t lost his sense of fun (an event planner necessity if there ever was one). Plus, his big 80’s hair must be full of event planning secrets.

Leslie Knope from Parks and Rec

Sometimes the obvious choice is the best. While Tom Havorford comes in a close second (he did open a poppin’ restaurant, after all), the one and only Leslie Knope can take any middling get-together from eh to epic with the deployment of one of her iconic, color-coded binders. While she can sometimes forget  not everyone likes the same things that she does (to the intensity that she does) the powerhouse public servant that pulled off the Harvest Festival is someone you want on your team (maybe even as your boss).

Tina Belcher from Bob’s Burgers

Tina may not be everybody’s cup of tea, but she’s a detail-oriented girl (have you seen her friend-fiction collection?) This is a pretty important trait for any creator, but what’s even more important is that she is always willing to think outside the box. Far outside the box. Like…80s roller-disco-butt-grabbing-zombie-dance-party-horse-race outside the box. Plus, she did a pretty great job running Tammy’s Bat Mitzvah when the real event planner called it quits. She knows the show must go on.

Madeline Martha Mackenzie from Big Little Lies

Ok, this is a bit of a wild card. But if anyone can plan an event to remember, it’s Madeline. Madeline is brash, impulsive, and can make enemies as easily as friends. While her you’re-either-with-me-or-against-me approach to life isn’t exactly suitable for an event creator, it’s a good reminder that sometimes you may need to ruffle a few feathers to pull off something great.
