Organisers of the Event Technology Awards (ETA) have revealed the first group of judges for the 2019 event and it reads like a ‘who’s who’ of the event industry.

Drawn from the expo, media, brand, agency and festival sectors, the 12 names include representation from Reed Exhibitions, GSK, Imagination and Bournemouth 7’s.

INVNT co-founder & CEO Scott Cullather makes his debut on the judging panel. The award-winning global live brand storytelling agency™ has worked with the likes of PepsiCo, Samsung, General Motors and ESPN, and Scott brings a 30-year history with live events to the ETA table.

Alongside him, Abi Cannons, digital innovation success manager at Reed Exhibitions, has significant experience of the event technology sector too through her work at Slido and as community manager for Event Tech Lab.

Global brand GSK will be represented by director of meetings technology, Charlotte Hammerbeck, and her experience within the industry that extends beyond 15 years. Charlotte returns to the panel having judged the 2018 awards.

From the festival and outdoor sector, Craig Mathie, managing director from Bournemouth 7’s, is another Event Technology Awards judging debutant, together with Lily Brimble, senior project manager at Richmond Event Management Ltd.

Event Technology Awards co-founder, Adam Parry comments:
“To retain the integrity of the awards, it is vital that the entries are judged by professionals who are at the very top of our industry and who understand why innovation in event technology is so important. I’m delighted to say that the 2019 judging panel perfectly reflects those criteria.”
