Here are some of the essential event promotion ideas that can prove to be effective post the E-day:

1. Networking event –

With the tech development in the events industry, event networking platform is a recent and an incredible development. One of the prime reasons for attending a corporate event, meeting, trade show or an exhibition is to network with other attendees, event organisers, speakers, and influencers.

Post-event networking is an amazing idea for the attendees to keep in touch and meet even after the event is over. Post-event engagement should be in motion not just to keep the discussions going or to maintain the hype but to encourage the building connections as well. It also gives you an opportunity to mingle with the attendees who might otherwise prefer a competitive brand than yours!

2. Send post-event emails –

Active after Concluding! Don’t let your attendees forget the amazing experience, send e-mails and newsletters asking for feedback and follow-ups.

A thank you mail is also a good gesture to show people that you are happy that they attended the event and were a part of it.

You can also conduct a post-event survey, asking feedback or certain questions, that you might require enhancing their experience next time they visit.

3. Conduct a social media quiz or contest –

Social Media is one of the strongest tools in the hands of the customers today. There are several social media platforms with sundry opportunities where you can gather the event attendees and make them promote your event through interesting activities.

Attendees always look for fun factor even if it is a corporate and professional event. Event Planners can keep small winnings for those who answer the quiz questions correctly or win a contest.

To win a certain amount of cash prize they’ll invite their friends, spread word across the social media and hence, many people get to know about your event.

5. Share content on social media with images and videos –

Sharing is caring and also a popular and one of the most recommended post-event promotion ideas. Social Media is the king of sharing content in both graphical and text format. Use of social media for different types of promotions can really be useful.

For example, Instagram can be used to create short videos to put in stories, for Facebook a picture album may be useful and for twitter a mix of both with a short and captivating tweet!

6. Make it memorable for the attendees by re-living the event moments

With the trending hashtags of #ThrowbackThursday and #FlashbackFriday, people from around the world keep on sharing their experiences and re-living the great moments they had during the events.

The moments might be of the décor, of the venue, of meeting some influencer or speaker or even a selfie! TBT’s have proved to be one of the most interactive and re-living features on twitter as well as on Instagram.

These hashtags can be used as one of the most creative event marketing ideas to be considered even after the event is over.

7. Contact your leads –

Many times, the attendee’s main motive to attend any event is to gather leads that might turn into potential customers in the near future. The best way to approach these leads post-event is to think of a creative marketing idea and get one of them in action.

If the lead liked your product at the event or belongs to a sector that will require your services will have a high rate of conversion in comparison to the leads who have no idea about your products or services.

The event marketing plan may be to contact them directly via e-mails or through social media interaction and then directly contacting them.

The E-day conversations are worth re-visiting the memory lane and pondering upon in a while.

Post the E-day, the hype might cool down, to re-live and keep the heated discussions on post-event, it is a great idea to keep engaging amongst yourselves and involve your digital audience as well.

Post-event promotion strategies indulge not just the attendees to be active but also gather their own audience to promote the event day talks and topics.

9. Leverage other people’s audience especially of speakers and organisers –

Influencer marketing if done right has been proving to be quite effective in the events industry. Word of Mouth, although has been a long lost approach still can be leveraged digitally now.

The event speakers or guest of honor or any influencers who are a part of your event, if they promote your video after the event is over can still gain a lot of attraction to it.

Devise your event marketing plan in such a way that the speakers and influencers both are compelled to tweet, mention, repost and update their statuses about the event.
