Events agency emc3 has announced an increase in paid time off for the whole team after achieving record growth 

With the launch of their repositioning, their new advisory board and the onboarding of 26 new clients, including names such as Twilio, Google, Gong and Miro it’s fair to say that the year is off to an incredible start for event agency emc3.

CEO and Founder, Alistair Graham said: “It’s been an incredible year for us so far and over the next few weeks we’ll be creating 16 events across 16 different cities for over 20,000 attendees—so it’s safe to say the industry is bouncing back stronger than ever. We’ve got an incredible team behind us making this happen, but we want to ensure that as we continue to grow, we do so sustainably and we’re looking after the mental health and wellbeing of our team. 

This is part of the reason why we have announced an additional day of paid time off for our team in addition to the evolution of our mental health policy, which includes the implementation of a mental health first aider, no-questions-asked paid mental health days off and a partnership with Spill, which provides mental health support and access to therapists for all employees.

The events industry has been consistently listed in the top five most stressful jobs over the last 5+ years, and hustle culture and overworking have become ingrained in society, but it’s not something we want to be a part of normalising. We’re working to redefine what the work week looks like because the events industry isn’t a 9-5 role—the job is challenging, and the hours can be long and sporadic—so we try to incorporate as much flexibility into our roles as possible, ensuring that the team have work hour flexibility and are able to take time off when they need it because we know that our team do their best work when they are happy and having a harmonious work-life balance, is vital to that.”
