The Celtic Collection appoints Davies Tanner for M&E PR launch

The Celtic Collection, a group of experience-focused UK business and leisure hotels and venues developed from the success of the flagship Celtic Manor Resort, has appointed UK-based specialist brand communications agency, Davies Tanner, to handle its UK meetings and events PR brief.

The agency will implement a targeted brand awareness campaign to promote The Celtic Collection to a UK and International B2B audience.

Host venue for the 2014 NATO Summit and 2010 Ryder Cup, The Celtic Manor Resort is one of Europe’s finest business and leisure destinations. It houses the 1,500-delegate Caernarfon Suite, a versatile Exhibition Hall and 24 additional syndicate and meeting rooms, as well as three championship golf courses, luxury spas, a range of restaurants, and team-building and family activities.

The Collection also includes further meeting facilities, restaurants and accommodations at the 19th century Manor House, the idyllic Newbridge on Usk country inn, and the stylish Coldra Court Hotel. The latest addition, The Parkgate Hotel, will open its doors later this month offering some of the largest event spaces in the city centre of Cardiff.

Jill Manley, Business Development Director, The Celtic Collection, commented: “We worked with Davies Tanner on the successful launch of ICC Wales, so they were our first choice to promote The Celtic Collection and bring our exciting new developments to the attention of the UK and international meetings and events audience. Davies Tanner has a huge amount of experience and expertise, and we are looking forward to working with them as we bring another business events product to the global meetings and events market.”

Sue O’Gorman, Marketing Director at Davies Tanner commented: “Having worked with the team at ICC Wales and Celtic Manor over several years, we are delighted to be working with them again on The Celtic Collection. It is a fantastic product which offers a variety of alternative, quality meetings spaces within easy reach of the rest of the UK.”

The chic new Parkgate Hotel is situated in an original post office heritage building, adjacent to Principality Stadium in the heart of Cardiff. The Postmaster Suite can hold up to 432 people in the banqueting suite while The Telegraph Room is a private and elegant space perfect for intimate lunches, dinners and board meetings.

Five minutes from The Celtic Manor Resort is Coldra Court Hotel, with 148 stylish and comfortable bedrooms, a Southern-inspired smokehouse restaurant, health club, pool and gym. Nine refurbished meeting rooms include the Severn Suite that holds up to 300 delegates.
