The Event Safety Alliance® (ESA), a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting public health and safety throughout all phases of events, has announced APPIX as the official audience engagement app for this year’s Event Safety Summit.

APPIX is a new audience engagement solution, lighting effects tool, and a public safety alerts/notification solution. It recently worked on The Mixtape Tour from New Kids On The Block, the 100th Anniversary Concert by LA Phil, and almost every North American event from UFC, along with an upcoming third unique activation at the Hollywood Bowl with Disney Pixar for two nights of the Coco Live to Film Experience.

At the Event Safety Summit, APPIX will provide attendees with real-time details about the presenters and schedule through their in-venuesmartphone app. APPIX will also showcase an exclusive preview of their APPIX APSA (Area Public Safety Alerts) service; a site-specific public emergency notifications solution similar to amber/weather alerts but without reliance on terrestrial networks like cellular data or WiFionce downloaded. APPIX APSA allows for mission-critical transmissions of public health and safety alerts despite cellular congestion or even a total loss of electricity/power outage.

Scheduled to launch in 2020, APPIX APSA and its unique partnership with the ESA highlights a new level of commitment to public event safety. This will allow for unprecedented access to the brand new service for almost any special event’s producer that is a member of the Events Safety Alliance in good standing, as APPIX APSA will be made available at no extra cost (other than essential expenses like transport and labour expenses) to nearly any type of event that has over 5,000 attendees.

Members of the ESA and attendees of the Event Safety Summit include many of the biggest names in event production for the world’s largest concert tours, along with festival managers for AEG, SXSW, Glastonbury, Lollapalooza and more. Other attendees include senior management from the safety and security divisions of Fortune 500 companies, representatives from the live event insurance industry, city government representatives, and key stakeholders for live events in Public Health and Event Safety.
