Cardiff based creative event specialists Genero Group are thrilled to secure their first production contract to take place at the new International Conference Centre Wales. The first event is taking place in October this year and Genero is relishing in the preparation.

Genero has been producing events for the past 20 years, for clients such as FAW, NHS, Business Reporter, Airbus, Valero Energy and Stereophonics. Having worked at popular conference venues across the UK and Europe and, on average, producing 700 events per calendar year, they are looking forward to becoming acquainted with ICC Wales. Genero are proud to be contributing to the success of an event at ICC Wales in its preliminary months.

The three-year contract consists of producing a large annual awards ceremony, jointly organised by the Welsh Government and the National Training Federation for Wales. The event is a celebration of young talent and hardworking individuals across Wales. Genero have produced this ceremony three times already, last year it took place at the Caernarfon Suite in Celtic Manor. The event will be held at the ICC Wales in the first year of the contract, with the new venue contributing to the necessary growth of the event.

Taking place in October, Genero are putting plans into motion. They will be working alongside the ICC Wales technical and event support teams, and will be providing event environment design, technical support and event management, state of the art audio visual solutions and lighting design, set and stage build, branding and print media, furniture rental and multimedia services. Fit for a true celebration of achievements!

Fern Morgan, Event Manager at Genero, says:

“Having worked at Celtic Manor for a period of eight years when ICC Wales was just a pipe dream for the Resort, I am so excited to produce this fantastic event at the brand-new venue. It will be a pleasure to work with the old and new ICC Wales team for this particular event. Award ceremonies are by far up there with my favourite events to produce.

“The ICC Wales is a brand new, prestigious and purpose-built venue, with great supplier access to the event spaces, state of the art equipment and well thought out rigging points installed, it has the perfect facilities for what we do! We spend a lot of our time producing conferences, exhibitions and awards ceremonies, so we are eagerly anticipating the positive impacts ICC Wales will have on the local business tourism community. We have already been alerting our clients across the UK and Europe about the new opportunities this venue will create. The accessibility of ICC Wales is incredibly appealing for international business. There are exciting things coming to Wales!”

Genero offers a complimentary Venue Finding service, where clients are entitled to the company’s help in finding a suitable venue for their event. Having worked across the UK and Europe, Genero has an extensive list of venues they know well. They are delighted to add ICC Wales to their portfolio and in turn contribute to attracting more business to Wales.
