The Shackles are Off…. Full Steam Ahead for the Events Industry

With the announcement that Plan B measures are to end from next Thursday the purgatory that the events industry has faced during the last few months comes to an end.

We are sure to see a bounce back as was seen in September, October and November of 2021. Will 2022 be the year of the party/work event!!!

“ At last the shackles are off. We know from our agency and venue members that millions of pounds worth of event bookings have been held up with contracts waiting to be signed once the Plan B restrictions were lifted. This should give the industry’s recovery the boost that it needs and give everyone the confidence to book live events and meet in-person.” Juliet Price, Consultant Executive Director of HBAA, soon to be known as beam commented.

Commenting on the lifting of Plan B restrictions, Michael Begley, CEO of venuedirectory.com said “This is great news. It should give event planners the confidence to go ahead with in-person conferences and meetings immediately. Our data has shown an encouraging upward curve recently. This should now be the adrenaline injection that the industry has been waiting for to take the recovery further forward energetically. ”

“The confidence that was being shown pre-Plan B is sure to resurrect and those companies looking to host events this year will need to be quick otherwise they’ll find availability to be non-existent following postponements and the pent-up demand. We have a full schedule of events planned for 2022 including 20/20 club networking events, The COOL Venue Awards and The Sustainable Events Show.” says Wesley Mendy, CEO of Prestige Events Magazine.

Is it time to crack open the champagne???? Let’s hope so
